The Law stated that Jehovah God would visit
the sins of the fathers upon their children unto
the third and fourth generation of those who
hated Him (Exodus 20:5; 34:6-7).
This is true because of the nature of sin, but not
by an act of God. They believed that a man by
his life of sin could cause his child to be born
totally blind or with some type of handicap.
But here Jesus refused to follow along with their
kinds of speculations and he also declined to sit in
judgment upon others sins.
