It has been over a year now of Jesus' ministry.

It was time for the Passover again.

We see He has been in Jerusalem for some
weeks now. And He has been closely watched.
Members of the Sanhedrin had reported His
works in Galilee, and it brought a strong
accusation upon Him:

He had kept company with sinners,
He claimed to be able to forgive sins,
He showed slackness in keeping the sabbath.
He was guilty of blasphemy (in their opinion).

Now they were soon to find things against
Him in Jerusalem.
