Jesus said that generation was like a man who
had been delivered from an evil spirit; failing to
keep his life open to God's presence and blessings,
he became prey to the demon when it returned.
It then found the house 'empty, swept and garn-
ished.'

So the devil took seven more, more wicked than
himself and entered into the man, so that his last
state was worse than the first.

"Even so shall it be also unto this wicked gener-
ation"
