The Pharisees had changed the Law of the Sabbath
into a tradition losing the original purpose of it. It
became a rule that had separated the Jews from
the Gentiles. It was a sign of exclusive privileges.

All their traditions were wrapped up in its abserv-
ance. They even believed heaven kept the day
and the nation of Isreal had been chosen for the
sole purpose of keeping it.
