It's hard to tell what must have been on His
brothers minds. They seemed to think that
Jesus was as eager for fame like they were but
was holding back because of fearfulness.

Jesus could have been offended by that but He
answered them kindly explaining that His time
had not come and He would not go up to the
feast yet. He let His brothers leave not knowing
what His plans were. Read John 7:6-8
