Like a lot of people who came to Jesus for healing,
this father said, "If thou canst do any thing, have
compassion on us, and help us" Mark 9:22.

But this type of statement is not of faith and Jesus
didn't let it pass. Jesus rebuked the man by saying
"If thou canst believe, all things are possible to
him that believeth" Mark 9:23
