Because this blind man was well-known in town
as a blind beggar, with new sight, everyone was
excited. The Jews couldn't believe his testimony.
They questioned him as to who had healed him,
and he said that a man named Jesus did it.

Of course, they brought him to the Pharisees,
who were happy about the news, and made it
known that it was the Sabbath day. And that by
healing him, Jesus had broken the Sabbath. So,
He was not of God.

But not all the Pharisees agreed and some were
sensible enough to see that only God could have
performed it. "Therefore said some of the
Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he
keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How
can a man that is a sinner do such miracles?
And there was a division among them."
