In Nebuchadnezzar's vision, the tree still had its
roots and eventually it would grow again.

God's people were commanded to watch, and
when they saw the fig tree shooting forth again
they would know that the time of its fulfillment
was near.

"So likewise ye, when ye see these things come
to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is
