Many evil spirits were cast out besides those
needing physical healing.

The terrible fact that the demons knew they
had lost every opportunity in inherit life must
have filled their minds with despair and hope-
lessness. They knew they had crossed the line
of any hope of redemption. They cried out in
agony when in the presence of Jesus.

Jesus couldn't do anything the the evil spirits.
They were beyond mercy and He had to shut
them up so that they wouldn't reveal His deity
too early.

But His mercy went to the person they had
oppressed or possessed to set them free.
