The Pharisee claimed that their laws were given
by Moses and passed down through the elders.
But Jesus went on to teach the multitudes the
doctrines that showed their worthlessness.

He said, "Hear and understand: Not that which
goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that
which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth
a man" Matthew 15:10-11.

Jesus' words were causing death to ceremonies,
and no wonder the Pharisees were offended.
