"For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to
be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders;
but they themselves will not move them with
one of their fingers" Matthew 23:4

Jesus said that the scribes and Pharisees bound
heavy burdens on men's shoulders, but did
nothing to help them. They were hard, cold, and
pitiless; false shepherds who had no interest in
the flock.
