Even though they didn't understand, what they had
seen caused them to trust Him. The miracle the
day before (feeding loaves and fishes) they believe
was enough to show them that He was the Messiah.

They had to agree that those who ate manna in the
wilderness had died, so they needed more than manna
But still, it was difficult to understand.

"This is a hard saying, who can hear it?"
