Unaware of all that was going on around her,
Mary sat at Jesus' feet, not wanting to miss a
word He said.

Martha, on the other hand, was thinking of a
dinner that she wanted to put on in His honor.
To accomplish this, she needed Mary's help.
As she worked, she became upset with Mary
for leaving all the work for her.

Finally unable to contain herself, Martha went
to Jesus and said, "Lord, dost thou not care
that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid
her therefore that she help me".
