Instead of asking Mary herself, she turned to
Jesus, being impatience, wanting Him to do
something with her.

Martha wasn't expecting Jesus' response. Saying
her name twice, He said, "Martha, Martha, thou
art careful and troubled about many things. But
one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen the
good part, which shall not be taken from her"!

He wasn't going to take what Mary wanted away
from her, so it looks like Martha may have
returned to the kitchen wishing she hadn't said
anything.
