Jesus showed him that there was a price to
be paid. Let him sell all he had, give to the
poor and come and follow Him.

This was a severe test and it staggered the
young man. What would his wife, his parents,
and friends think?

He was wealthy and cringed at the sacrifice
it required. He realized that he valued money
more than eternal life.
